I am a clarinet.

You have probably heard me in cheerful songs. At weddings, celebrations, crowded tables... People laughed, talked, danced, and I played along with them.

But I have another voice too.

Sometimes, I cannot keep everything inside. When fingers touch my keys, a long and trembling sound comes out of me. As if there is something I have been unable to say for years...

I am not really crying.

There are simply some melodies that say the things people cannot say.

When you miss someone...

When you have to leave something behind...

Or when you have a sorrow that you cannot tell anyone about in the middle of the night...

That is when my voice changes.

I do not play a cheerful song. I let that sad voice inside me come out.

Maybe you hear only a clarinet melody.

But I am telling you something else.

“I miss you too.”

“I could not forget either.”

“There are things left inside me too.”

Perhaps that is why some melodies touch the human heart.

Because sometimes, people do not want to talk.

They just want a clarinet to speak for them.

And I am ready.
